Bea Bidault

Bea Bidault is a distinguished dance artist whose work intricately explores human connection and identity through captivating, fictional, visual, and sensory performances. Her multifaceted career encompasses choreography, performance, and movement research, making her a dynamic presence in the dance scene.

Bea's recent work Les Nuages commissioned by The Place theatre will premier the 20th of June. Her choreographic creations have been performed across the UK and Spain, including prestigious venues such as Battersea Arts centre, the Museum of Modern Art in Valencia and the Deltebre Festival.

Bea has collaborated with an array of renowned artists and companies:

  • Bea Bidault and Max Revell are creative partners, they have developed a unique movement language blending physical theatre contemporary dance and popping. Currently creating a new dance piece One Without, a new music video for a renowned music band and delivering workshops.

  • Teac Damsa: Worked under the direction of esteemed choreographer Michael Keegan-Dolan as a performer an rehearsal director.

  • Becky Namgauds: Served as a movement director for Namgauds' dance film and performed in her live works.

  • Movement Direction: Partnered with circus performer Loosy Smokes, film director Miranda Stern, and participated in the movement research for a new Disney film production.

  • Creating the conception and starring in a film version of Les Nuages available on NOWNESS directed by Will Clark.

  • Akram Khan Company: Joined the acclaimed company for their touring production of The Jungle Book Reimagined.

Originally from Barcelona, Bea discovered her passion for dance in her early twenties. Her natural creative instinct led her to fully immerse herself in the world of dance, finding purpose and connections. She pursued her studies at the London School of Contemporary Dance, where she graduated with distinction in her Master’s degree.

Growing up in Cornwall, Max began training in Plymouth, taking breaking and popping classes with Street Factory from age nine, later returning there to teach. As a teenager he travelled across the UK competing in battles, and worked with several theatre companies before joining Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. In 2019 he won the BBC Young Dancer competition, graduating NSCD in 2020 he joined postgraduate company Verve.

Max has been part of Akram Khan Company in the The Jungle Book Reimagined production as well as with Far From the Norm in Black Dog, he has starred as a soloist for the BBC proms 2025 festival opening.

He has directed his solo work as well as his newest choreographic work The Party, supported by Breaking Conventions, Orsalina and The Place. He was also a finalist in the popping strand of the worldwide competition Juste Debout 2025 in Paris.
